Mummy Apples: white chocolate, then layers of peanut butter, caramel and pecans.
We’re hosting our Boo! Boo! Booze! Halloween party tonight. Among the treats: Mummy Apples, which are covered in white chocolate, peanut butter, caramel and pecans.
I’m turning the black vodka screwdrivers into shots, served in layered shot glasses, alongside a Witch’s Brew of orange juice, sherbet and other mysterious things like dry ice and probably a soy version of eye of newt or some such thing. That’s what witches drink, right?
Other things on the menu:
- apple and brie panini
- butternut squash cannelloni
- apple and beet tarts
- fried chickpeas
- grape and orange vodka “soda” (dyed, of course)

Monday Morning/Zombie Me.
And for a little entertainment for the guests while they mingle, I made up a game called Zombie Attack! I created zombified photos and videos of the guests and created “Wanted” posters for each of us. The first 10 guests who find each zombie get to “shoot” them and enter a drawing. This is a completely normal thing to think of. You should do it. Just let Zombie Cavan play, too.
More news for you after the party.
What are you doing for Halloween?
I hope you had fun last night. Sorry we missed it. I’m SURE everything was delicious!
